Lesson 4: Flattening the Stomach

There is nothing wrong with you for wanting to develop your physique. Perhaps the Abs have received more attention than any area of the body. Unfortunately, very few 'experts' really understand how the whole area works, and consumers spend hours making their stomachs not flatter

There are three main things that make your stomach big: Fat, weak exhalation, and distension of any organs, especially the colon or intestines. Address those things and the stomach will flatten. Do a lot of situps and you will likely create a weaker exhalation and more distension.

As you begin to get in a rhythm, you will train your exhalation in a repetitive fashion. Many clients notice smaller measurements in only a week. Now have fun and go get your figure back.

Exercise 4: The Last 2 Seconds

Let's say you blow bubbles for a total of 8 seconds. It is not possible to pull your belly to your spine the whole time. Instead, keep your belly muscles relaxed for 6 seconds, and pull your belly towards your spine during the last 2 seconds.

How you spend that last 2 seconds is very important. There is a tendency either to forget to bring the belly in, or to pull too strong. If you've ever done sit-ups, or had to really push when having a bowel movement, you know what it feels like. The last 2 seconds of the exhalation with the FRTD should be nothing like either of those movements. Instead, gently pull your belly towards your spine during the last 2 seconds. You will feel a tightening in the muscles below your belly button. Once you feel comfortable with this movement, move on to the next lesson.
